Drivers under the age of 25 can face problems finding a car to hire in Florida.  At Car Hire Florida we have packages for you with every supplier which should suit most situations.

Aged 19 or 20?

Drivers aged 19 and 20 can drive with U-Save, with a young driver surcharge of $19.95 per day (plus tax) will be payable locally on arrival. Drivers must have a valid full licence, and a credit card in their own name. U-Save are located just off-site at Orlando, Sanford and Tampa, with complimentary shuttle buses to the airport locations.  U-Save insurance packages are complete, with no further charges on arrival. Aged 21 to 24?

The cheapest way to hire in Florida in this age bracket is with U-Save where you will not pay a surcharge. Drivers must have a valid full licence, and a credit card in their own name. U Save allows 2 young drivers with each car, making this an excellent value option.

If you prefer an 'on site' option you could choose the "Young Driver Package" offered by Budget. The car must be booked in the young drivers name, on the Diamond package only. The additional charge is £55 per week and £11 per day, paid at the time of reservation and allows just one young driver. Additional young drivers can opt to drive on payment of $25 per day (plus tax) locally on arrival. Drivers must have held a valid, full licence for at least one year, and must have a credit card in their own names. Sat Nav cannot be booked if the young driver package is added, but can be hired at the location at a cost of $11.00 per day plus tax.

You could also choose the "Young Driver Package" offered by Alamo. The car must be booked in the young drivers name, on the Diamond package only. The additional charge is £62 per week and £12 per day, paid at the time of reservation and allows just one young driver. Additional young drivers can opt to drive on payment of $25 per day (plus tax) locally on arrival. Drivers must have held a valid, full licence for at least one year, and must have a credit card or VISA Debit card in their own names. Sat Nav cannot be booked if the young driver package is added, but can be hired at the location at a cost of around $11.00 per day plus tax.

Avis, Dollar and Thrifty

Drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 can also hire with Avis, Dollar and Thrifty, subject to a surcharge of $25 per day (plus tax), per driver paid locally on arrival. Either the Standard or the Diamond packages can be reserved, and Sat Nav can be added as this is also payable locally. Drivers must have held a valid full licence for at least one year and the lead driver must have a credit card in their own name.
