From time to time suppliers offer Florida car hire upgrades, the details of the upgrades can vary by supplier, so here we break down the 'rules' for you by supplier.  You will see which supplier is offering an upgrade on the results page of your search next to the description of the car.

Budget

Upgrades in Florida are complimentary, subject to availability on the day, at the location.  This means you should book the minimum size of car that you will require, just in case the upgrade is not available.  This is highly unusual, but can happen at busy times and no responsibility will be accepted by either the supplier or Car Hire Florida if the car you have booked is not of sufficient size.  The categories of car available for upgrade, are compact, intermediate and full size.  Upgrades are not available at Christmas or Easter.

Upgrades are not available for rentals of more than 30 days.

Alamo, Dollar and Thrifty

When offered, upgrades are automatic and guaranteed.  Once again, please book the minimum size car you will require, and you will receive a voucher for the next size up, so if you book a Compact 2 door, you will receive an Intermediate 2 door.  Upgrades are not available at Christmas or Easter.
